There is a line in an old Bob Dylan song called “Fourth Time Around” that goes like this…”Everybody must give something back, for something they get"
As the saga that is MLS Miami,it appears that David Beckham's group will be once again seeking a home for the MLS club. Sources close to the Miami MLS deal said that Miami Beckham United is giving up on plans to build a proposed stadium near Marlins Park in Little Havana. Instead, it is looking elsewhere in Miami as the fourth option in a process that has now dragged on 21 months since MLS Commissioner Don Garber announced plans for MLS to move to downtown Miami.
The site was the third that Beckham's group had considered. The first two sites were on the waterfront, first near Port Miami and the second at a boat slip next to American Airlines Arena, but both were rejected also.
Other sites now being mentioned are an old boat yard near Miami International Airport and a site in Miami's Overtown neighborhood.
Miami’s Mayor said "All I want is a stadium here," I will support them as much as I can, again with a caveat there's no public financing, no public funds to go to the stadium."
Hopefully for Beck’s sake and for Major League Soccer, they can get a deal done soon. The league has tried and failed already in Miami, and they certainly don’t want to screw it up again.
